Afghan Cymru Connect is dedicated to building bridges between Afghan and Welsh communities through cultural exchange, education, and community support.
Our mission is to empower individuals and families—especially women, children, and young people—to thrive, connect, and contribute positively to society while celebrating the richness of both Afghan and Welsh heritage.
Our Aims
1. Promote Inclusion and Belonging
Create welcoming spaces where Afghan and other ethnic communities feel valued, respected, and supported within Welsh society.
2. Support Women and Families
Provide opportunities for women and families to develop skills, confidence, and wellbeing through workshops, volunteering, and community projects.
3. Empower Young People
Engage children and youth in creative, educational, and cultural activities that encourage learning, confidence, and positive identity.
4. Preserve and Share Culture
Celebrate Afghan and Welsh culture through storytelling, art, and community events that promote understanding and harmony.
5. Build Stronger Communities
Collaborate with local organizations, councils, and volunteers to address social isolation and create a network of mutual support
